HELP! with money transfer to TW side for S.F.C~
saw the notice on SFC..
and just wanna know is it just go to the bank and tell them u want to money transfer to taiwan with the relevant info?
do i need to bring my bank book with me or no need?
great if anybody can help me with this... thanks :P

haha i think i should be joining, cause i dont want to miss this great opportunity! :)
/edit/ i just checked the website for like posb bank and i think the best way or only way to transfer money to taiwan is by like telegraphic transfer? rates are quite high if im not wrong cause there's like alot of additional handling charges, commision charges and all! if i didnt count wrongly the final fee will be like 130 SGD in total? yup omg haha im still trying to see if there are other alternatives! :)

Hi
The payment is for the annual membership. If we are first 500 ppl, we can entitled the photo shoot ( must go to KL for the shoot cos S'pore not in the list).
First come first serve basis.
however, if you can combine more ppl to join, the bank charges is lower ( cable charge is fixed at $20 for POSB, $30 for UOB). But both bank charge diff in handling commission (UOB is 1/16% for internet banking and 1/8% for normal process, POSB is 1/8% for TT).
One question, are we paying bank charges on our side only... the taiwan side will bear the receiving charges????
If not, the payment will not be in full - the taiwan bank will deduct the bank charge from the remittance ( so the USD 75 will become lesser)?
Who can help to answer this question??? |

yeah i was thinking if combine then the bank charges would be lower but the thing is that im not sure whether taiwan side would allow this cause like they would have to check if you remitted the money over and all alrdy, so if everybody has the same ref no and the sum is like in total, wont taiwan side like not accept? haha im just guessing also! :)
argh but if want to be the first 500 then we have to hurry cause it's really very limited spaces for so many of us! |

| The whole thing will definitely cost more than $130, because if registration is successful (first 500), you girls have to consider the money you have to spend to travel to KL for the event..........So expensive, only for one year.... HAI! |

okay i just came back from the bank and the charges are really quite high!
haha like the transfer rate is based on daily rates so for today with all the charges and commision fees it's $145.56!
haha im like still considering so i havent paid yet but it's seriously kinda ex! :(
the only other way is demand draft but that one is send cheque over to the person so cannot :( |

I think so, even the Taiwan version of Paypal which they call EZPAY now dont even accept credit cards....
To comfort yourself, its limited to 500 pple, so alot of avid fans might not have the chance to join too...
We wont be alone heehee.
Then again, unlike hk and taiwan region, its easier to get into top 500 for us!!! Argh

and transferring the money is well, ya, kinda expensive.
but don't forget that zhu mentioned on yubai that if other places have more and more fans, he will consider holding the event in these other countries.
although he didnt mention singapore, he will eventually (i hope) come to singapore if we show him that we have many fans here.

Just go the bank and tell them u wanna transfer $ to tw..
they will pass u a form to fill up..
fill up le, go to the bank tellers and they will process it for you..
I used POSB.. so need to pay bank charges...
