Battle of the mandopop concerts 2010
Show Luo 3D World Live Tour
Ticket prices: $178, $148, $118, $88
Show's second official gig in Singapore was done with much fanfare and hype over the entertainer's choice of incorporating 3D-technology in the concert. The dedicated and determined showman reportedly splurged an additional TWD 10mil from his own pockets to finance the production of 3D glasses distributed to concertgoers at each venue.
Vocal power: Though he holds a tune decently, vocals aren't Show's forte and he knows it himself.
Production set: Overlooking the simple stage setup, you know they spared no cost in providing concertgoers with a visual feast -- cue the use of 3D technology. Costs for the effects and technology used in his concerts have risen to a staggering TWD 65mil.
Costume: His costumes were anything but boring. If not found in cool neon dancing gear, Show would be decked out in suits and tuxedo outfits given a dramatic twist of its own -- pants adorned with a trailing wedding-cake-like layered gown and over-exaggerated embellishments are just about the tip of the iceberg.
Verdict: Touted to be Asia's Dancing King by fellow Taiwanese performer Jay Chou, Show thrived on the audience's enthusiasm and flaunted his amazing showmanship for one and all. Definitely a show-stopping gig for both fans and non-fans.
